Chiara and Giulio will explain why over time products naturally evolve. New features are added, often by different designers, until things get complicated!
This is probably a good time to take the pivotal step in the growth of a digital product and the benefit of a design system starts to be obvious. So, where should you start?
The first step is to get a good sense of the current state of your digital product by evaluating all its different components and elements. In other words, an audit.
Audits are the foundation of your design system: you will always refer back to them. That's why it is so important to execute them well. The more precise you are, the less time you will waste later.
